Free Press Summer Fest 2013, June 1 & 2 Houston, TX

PhotoMoto has a booth and is going to be set up to take pictures all day long, both days. Stop by and see us.

A slew of birthday photos

I got an email this morning from Traci showing a collection of photos that she has shot of me over the past year. I just have to share some of them. She is so amazing with her double, and sometimes triple, exposures. You just have to see for yourself.

Have a beautiful day.

A very green afternoon

Today Traci Lynn came over and we gabbed, drank mimosas and explored my excessively overgrown apartment gardens. It's been almost a year since the last time we did this, and everything around us has changed.

There's always something special about shooting with Traci. Her energy rubs off on you. I don't know what it is, but I'm never unhappy with my photos after taking pictures with her. It's a combination of a fierce friendship, both of us having a mighty wild streak, and two girls willing to capture it no matter how close it means we might be to being arrested. It's been nearly a decade, and we've become professionals at being sneaky.

What an absolutely incredible friend.

Here's my neighbor, randomly walking by, who got caught up in our photo frenzy.

PhotoMoto at Pop Shop Houston

The Pop Shop Indie Craft Fair over Mother's Day weekend was a success for our little PhotoMoto. We had blue skies and friendly patrons the whole weekend, and Austin and I took turns running the booth so we were both able to go explore the rest of the craft fair. I bought a cute tie dyed dress and sampled food from every food truck there. All of our friends stopped by too. We felt really loved.

Here are some pictures from the weekend!

Bright and clean interior. There's me in the monitor!
I'm a bit obsessed with taking reflection pictures.
Patrons!

Our next event is Free Press Summer Fest! See you there!

PhotoMoto will be at Pop Shop this weekend!

I haven't really explained much in previous posts, but Austin and I have bought and refurbished a 1978 Volkswagon Bus and turned it in to a mobile photo booth. This has been loads of fun in that it has been a consistent source in which I can pour my creativity to, and has also been monumental in learning patience, which is a wonderful thing.

Though the actual website is still in progress, we are already booked at events. This weekend you can find us at Pop Shop Houston, a superb Indie Craft Fair. If you are in town, please come take a picture in the bus!

Senior Shoot in a Small Monsoon

Two weeks ago, I drove out into the country side to do a senior portrait shoot with Megan, her folks and her best friend. The forecast said 30% chance of rain. Now, if you live in Houston you know that means there will be no rain and, "of course we don't need to reschedule!"

Let's just say that we got a small monsoon. Everywhere flooded. Cars were literally under water and the lightening was fierce and apocalyptic. Rescheduling was not an option (high schoolers have incredible schedules!) So off we went.

We were soggy, at best. But I think Megan did superb. Have a look!

What a beautiful girl!

Know any seniors? Send 'em my way!
