Here are some more photos from the shoot I did with Ben and Caroline a few weeks back. It was my idea to throw leaves around, and I didn't consider how ultimately *gross* dead leaves become when they've sat on soggy ground. Without hesitation they grabbed leaves by the armload, eyeing each other in unbroken stares, waiting for me to say "GO." My heart fluttered with anticipation.

Sometimes you have to get messy. In fact, I've found it's always worth it. Just look at how they bonded afterwards! You guys can thank me later. ;)

You know, just your typical ladder and slurpie buying photoshoot.

Uh huh, that's right. I followed them to the hardware store and the Circle K. This just proves that you don't have to do anything extravagant to get fun photos. 

This is Caroline, *owning it.*

"Yeah, we got a ladder, what about it?"

Believe me when I say this thing was super tasty. Totally worth the $1.49. Yep.

Ben got a head freeze right after this. See how he sacrifices himself for the sake of photography?

After the shoot, Caroline and Ben and I sat on their porch and watched stray cats tiptoe through the different yards. We were being so silly that we made up random song lyrics about it. Here's a few...

I'll share with you a secret

These are some images from a collective project that I've been working on with Traci. We've been keeping it all to ourselves for months, but I woke up today wanting to share just a few.

40 degrees, and barefoot at the beach

We explored back alleys, ate gas station food, danced in the street and played with cured meat (and much more). All in a day's trip to Galveston.

Free Press Houston Ad

I think a squeal of happiness could be heard clear across the Inner Loop in Houston this morning. My photo ad is now out in the Free Press Houston! They send out a monthly newsletter, that you can check out here, that puts everybody in "the know" about what is going on in town.

I love the Big Earl's Pigskin Hotdogs and the Lone Star Tampon ads. Hooray Free Press!

Christy and Jim Engagement

Good morning!

Today I woke up (early!) with the itch to purge some creative energy. Before Austin left to work, I told him to not be surprised if he comes home and finds the house painted a different color and all the furniture rearranged. It's a good thing I'm married to such a carefree person.

Now, on to the photographic side of things! Below are some of my favorite pics from an engagement shoot I did recently with a couple, Christy and Jim. They were so playful and sweet on each other the whole time, my job was easy. They were seriously like to teenagers in love.
